ATACH Strategy 2024-2028 Preview
The Alliance for Transformative Action on Climate and Health (ATACH) is proud to present a preview of its 2024-2028 Strategy. This strategic framework marks an important evolution in ATACH’s mission to support the development of climate-resilient and low-carbon sustainable health systems worldwide, as well as the advancement of healthy climate action in other sectors crucial for health.
Building on the achievements and activities since its launch in 2022, the ATACH Strategy 2024-2028 outlines an ambitious vision to strengthen health systems, promote sustainability, and drive collective action. Over the next four years, ATACH will focus on empowering countries and partners to achieve meaningful progress in the intersection of climate change and health. The new Strategy includes a revised structure for the ATACH, with enhanced opportunities for ATACH members to engage in governance, collaboration and knowledge sharing in the global platform provided by the Alliance.
A key change introduced with the new Strategy is the transition from broad Working Groups to more agile collaboration and engagement mechanisms, including Task Teams, which will focus on delivering specific products to address country needs, and Technical Meetings, which will bring together ATACH members and other interested stakeholders in action-oriented discussions on key topics in climate change and health. This shift reflects ATACH’s commitment to being flexible, action-oriented, and responsive to the evolving global health and climate landscape.
