Technical Meetings
ATACH Technical Meetings enable ATACH Members to share knowledge and experiences on specific priority topics to support country implementation of climate change and health activities. Technical Meetings are created based on country members' knowledge needs and interest.
ATACH Members can express interest to organize and contribute to Technical Meetings using the dedicated form in the Members Area.
Technical Meeting organizers and proposals of additional topics will be selected by the Secretariat following a set of criteria to ensure relevance to country needs and effective action-oriented knowledge sharing. An agenda of Technical Meetings is published by the ATACH Secretariat on a rolling basis in the Events section of the ATACH Community of Practice website.

Criteria for Technical Meeting topics
ATACH Members can propose Technical Meeting topics, and express interest to organize and/or contribute to Technical Meetings. To ensure maximal relevance and usefulness for country work on climate and health, topics will be selected on a rolling basis following the proposed criteria below. To be organized in the ATACH, Technical Meeting topics should:
- Have demonstrated interest from at least one ATACH country/area, which is already working on this topic and/or interested in doing so.
- Be relevant to countries’ climate change and health priorities as identified in ATACH meetings and key documents/assessments.
- Be oriented towards action and implementation of interventions (e.g., not only focused on sharing evidence or research results).
- Be organized by an ATACH member with demonstrated experience, willingness and availability to organize and facilitate the meeting following guidance from the Secretariat.
- Involve a diversity of ATACH members as contributors, to showcase diverse knowledge, experiences and approaches, not only being focused on the work of one ATACH member. E.g., Topic could be “Air quality improvement as a lever for CCH action” and not “Air quality improvement by X project/organization”
In addition, topics will be prioritized depending on availability of organizers and interest from broadest range of ATACH countries/areas and partners, while aiming for a balanced spread across thematic areas and for a diversity of ATACH members sharing their knowledge and experience.
