This report contains the summary of the “Climate Impact and Risk Assessment 2021 for Germany”. It is an essential basis for the development of the next Adaptation Action Plans of the German government. This report summarizes the concepts and results of the study as presented in its six sub-reports.

Pages 84 to 88 of the present report address the topic of human health.

Sub-report 5, which is only available in German, discusses future climate risks as well as possibilities for adaptation. Potential challenges regarding adaptation are also identified. These sections are supplemented by an assessment of adaptation capacity and brief explanations of the need for action. The results are summarized in tabular overviews for each field of action.
