The Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) is a not-for-profit research and development organization that discovers, develops, and delivers safe, effective, and affordable treatments for neglected patients. DNDi has developed a four-pronged strategy on health, climate, and the environment to address the treatment needs of the world’s most vulnerable populations- i) Develop treatments for climate-sensitive diseases ii) advocate for innovation and investment for neglected patients in the global climate change response iii) reduce the environmental footprint of our operations; and iv) work with partners to reduce the environmental impact of developing and manufacturing medicines.
Supporting the following commitments
- Commitment 5: Deliver a baseline assessment of greenhouse gas emissions of the health system (including supply chains).
- Commitment 6: Develop an action plan or roadmap by a set date to develop a sustainable low carbon health system (including supply chains).
