Dubai, February 11, 2026 — The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) of the United Arab Emirate's (UAE), in collaboration with key stakeholders, spotlighted the growing intersection between climate change and public health during the World Health Expo Dubai 2026.
On 9 February, MOHAP organized a dedicated workshop on climate and health, outlining its ongoing efforts to strengthen the climate resilience of the UAE’s health system. The session highlighted national strategies aimed at enhancing preparedness, protecting vulnerable populations, and integrating climate considerations into health planning and infrastructure.
The following day, 10 February, MOHAP contributed to a high-level panel discussion titled “Converging Threats: Climate, One Health and Health Security.” The discussion focused on the interconnected risks posed by climate change, environmental degradation, and emerging health threats, emphasizing the importance of a One Health approach that links human, animal, and environmental health.
MOHAP’s participation underscored the UAE’s commitment to addressing climate-related health risks and reinforcing health security through cross-sector collaboration and sustainable policy development.
