Enrolment open: Leadership in climate change and health peer learning course

Health professionals learn with their peers to lead action on climate and health in their communitiesThe Geneva Learning Foundation Collection © 2023

The Geneva Learning Foundation is pleased to announce that enrollment is now open for the second cohort of the Certificate peer learning programme for leadership in climate change and health, beginning on November 2, 2025. This programme offers a different way for health professionals to learn and lead.  This is an 8-hour course, set at your own pace,  where you learn from the documented experiences of thousands of health workers.

A unique way to learn

This is not a traditional course with experts giving lectures. The foundation of this programme is peer learning, where health professionals learn from each other’s real-world experiences to solve problems together. We believe the most powerful knowledge comes from your daily work. Your experience is the most important resource in the classroom.

“This peer interaction has allowed me to know that a pedantic spirit has no place in the professional sphere. Sharing, discussing, and consulting with other colleagues is very important... No one can be self-sufficient.”

For health professionals on the frontlines

This programme is designed for everyone who works for the health of their community. This includes community health workers, nurses, doctors, district health managers, and community volunteers. You will join a global community of colleagues from over 90 countries, with most working at the local level.

“Hearing others’ stories and how they responded gave me hope and has motivated me to contribute my own part.”

Learning to lead practical action

The goal of this course is not just to learn facts, but to help you become a stronger leader who can drive real change. You will develop skills to think more deeply about your work and get practical ideas you can use immediately.

“This module gave me new ideas I can directly use in my work. For example, I now plan to adapt my health education by going into the community instead of waiting for people to come to the clinic, and by involving local leaders to make the messages stronger. These changes make my practice more proactive and community-centered.”

We invite you to join this transformative journey. The new cohort starts on November 2, 2025.
