This resource aims to support the development and management of climate services that strengthen health systems, improve surveillance, enhance early warning, and increase resilience to climate-sensitive diseases and hazards.
It provides comprehensive guidance, frameworks, and 40 country case studies illustrating how climate information can be transformed into actionable climate services for the health sector. It also outlines key steps in the development of climate services for health, including: creating enabling environments, building capacity, conducting applied research, co-developing tailored climate–health products, implementing early warning systems, and evaluating their effectiveness. It also helps users understand common practices for working across sectors in order to develop useful climate knowledge for the health community. Altogether, this resource supports the integration of climate knowledge into public health planning, preparedness, and adaptation strategies.
