Youth Association for Development (YAD) Pakistan is a non-profit organization working in Baluchistan to address climate change, health resilience, and sustainable development. As one of the most climate-vulnerable regions in Pakistan, Baluchistan faces extreme weather events, water scarcity, and environmental degradation, which significantly impact public health. YAD has been at the forefront of tackling these challenges by conducting climate change and health vulnerability assessments, developing community-based adaptation strategies, and advocating for climate-resilient healthcare systems.
YAD's technical expertise aligns with the CoP26 Health Programme Commitments through data-driven assessments, policy engagement, and on-the-ground interventions. YAD supports the development of health national adaptation plans (HNAPs), facilitate access to climate financing for health initiatives, and promote sustainable, low-carbon healthcare systems. YAD collaborates with government agencies, research institutions, and international partners to integrate climate resilience into Baluchistan’s healthcare infrastructure, ensuring marginalized communities have access to climate-adaptive health services.
Through capacity-building programs, digital innovation, and advocacy, YAD strengthens Baluchistan’s response to climate-induced health risks, fostering a sustainable and equitable health system that aligns with global climate action goals.
