Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH)
Established in 2005, PMNCH is the world’s largest alliance for women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health and well-being, with nearly 1 500 partner organizations working together through 10 constituency groups: partner governments, donors and foundations, NGOs, adolescent and youth groups, private sector organizations, health professional associations, academic and research institutions, global financing mechanisms, inter-governmental organizations, and UN agencies. PMNCH is hosted by the World Health Organization, based in Geneva. Given the impacts of climate change on women's, children's and adolescents' health, PMNCH advocates for climate policies and investments to prioritize WCAH and place women, children, and adolescents at the centre of climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction strategies. Additionally, it is essential that WCAH policies and investments address climate risks. PMNCH also aims to ensure that women, children, and adolescents are meaningfully engaged in climate and health policymaking.
