Consorci de Salut i d'Atenció Social de Catalunya (CSC)

Consorci de Salut i d'Atenció Social de Catalunya (CSC) is a public consortium that brings together more than 100 associated organizations, including health and social care providers as well as municipalities, provincial councils, and county councils across Catalonia. This unique composition allows us to work comprehensively at the intersection of health, social services, and local public policy, with the mission of improving efficiency, quality, and sustainability across the health and social system.

Among our strategic priorities are the resilience of the health system, the reduction of the environmental impact of health and social organizations, and the support to local governments in developing healthier and more sustainable environments, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement.

Supporting the following commitments:

  • Commitment 1: Conduct climate change and health vulnerability and adaptation assessments (V&As) at population level and/or health care facility level.
  • Commitment 4: Set a target date by which to achieve health systems net zero emissions (ideally by 2050).
  • Commitment 6: Develop an action plan or roadmap by a set date to develop a sustainable low carbon health system (including supply chains).
