Community and Family Aid Foundation (NGO) is a Ghanaian National Non-Governmental Organization with a global thinking and acting locally, currently exclusively identified with promoting the empowerment of patients, families’, women, communities, and young people to manage issues concerning their development. They work actively and in partnership to deliver as one, advocate on critical need base areas such health, rights and well-being; environmental, education, climate change, human resources for health, and other related issues that affect humanities total development.


They are fully committed to partner to implement few of the thematic of COP26 health initiatives on climate resilient and low carbon, sustainable health systems. These include but not limited to:

  • Assist Ghana Commit to use the V&A and HNAP to facilitate access to climate change funding for health (e.g., project proposals submitted to the Global Environmental Facility, Green Climate Fund, Adaptation Fund, or GCF Readiness programme).
  • Assist Ghana Commit to develop a health national adaptation plan informed by the health V&A, which forms part of the National Adaptation Plan to be published by a stated target date.


They are going to leverage on the expertise, time and attention of their pool of experts to share and broker knowledge to facilitate these processes from time to time and report back to the alliance likewise.

Supporting the following commitments

  • Commitment 2: Develop a health national adaptation plan (HNAP) informed by the health V&A, which forms part of the National Adaptation Plan.
  • Commitment 3: Use the V&A and HNAP to facilitate access to climate change funding for health.
  • Commitment 6: Develop an action plan or roadmap by a set date to develop a sustainable low carbon health system (including supply chains).
