Climate Action Accelerator (CAA)
Categories: Climate Change & Health Vulnerability & Adaptation Assessments, Western Pacific, South East Asia

The Climate Action Accelerator is a Geneva-based organisation that aims to work with organisations within the healthcare, aid and higher education sectors to reduce their carbon emissions in line with the Paris Agreement. The health programme of the Accelerator aims to catalyse the transition to climate resilient and sustainable health care delivery in LMIC settings, whilst strengthening quality, coverage and health equity.
The Accelerator’s technical work centres on Commitment 1 through conceptualising and piloting projects based on open-access Climate VCA and CRESH tools to support implementation of resilient and sustainable (low carbon) service delivery. Lessons learnt from these pilot projects are used to build the capacity of health agencies through knowledge transfer and mentoring and dissemination more broadly in the scientific and health policy communities.
