IDRC Announces Funding for Climate Change and Health Projects

 

The opportunity:

The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) is launching a funding opportunity to address knowledge gaps at the intersection of climate change and health. The initiative seeks to establish regional hubs in West and Central Africa, East and Southern Africa, South Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Middle East and North Africa.

Up to five institutions will be funded to create and manage research sub-grants in these regions. The anticipated funding is up to CAD4 million per hub for a maximum of five years. The opportunity opens on February 19, 2024, and is available to individual organizations or consortia based in the respective regions, with a preference for those in low- and middle-income countries.

• Communication of Results: April 9, 2024
• Full Proposal Submission Deadline: May 17, 2024
• Notice of Decision: June 21, 2024
