Call for pathway redesign & guideline-directed care adoption solutions for the benefit of patients and the planet: Partner with us to use CARESA to evaluate the environmental impact of care pathway redesigns while maintaining or improving clinical outcomes using data from your healthcare context. Expressions of interest welcome from health systems and partners.

Optimized patient pathways and equitable & rapid access to guideline-directed care result in better patient outcomes and reduced environmental impact

The Sustainable Markets Initiative Health Systems Task Force is extending an invitation to collaborate on studies that use the CARESA (CARe pathway Environmental Sustainability Assessment) modelling tool to quantify the environmental impact of patient pathways, for any disease or geography.

The Task Force recently held a Technical Meeting, Caring for the Future: Integrating LCA and Care Pathways Assessment for the Benefit of Patients and the Planet, which introduced pathway-based methods and tools, including CARESA .  Watch the recordings of the Technical Meeting here (you will need to be logged in to view the recordings).

CARESA’s user-friendly interface enables transparent and robust modelling of the environmental impact (GHG, waste & water) of patient pathways, grounded in the Sustainable Healthcare Coalition framework.

CARESA generates policy-relevant evidence for the adoption of care models that benefit both patients & the planet and enables comparison of different strategies to achieve this, such as pathway optimization, implementation of prevention strategies, and increase in guideline-directed care

Ideal collaborators include health systems, clinical programs, healthcare systems sustainability/green teams, and research partners ready to prototype, evaluate, and scale pathway redesign and guideline-directed care adoption solutions.

Get in touch! Propose a study or collaboration via caresa@maverex.com. The CARESA team will provide technical support and training.
