ATACH Day at the COP28 Health Pavilion
ATACH Day at COP28
On Monday, 4 December 2023, the Alliance for Transformative Action on Climate and Health (ATACH) will host a full day of events at the COP28 Health Pavillion (Blue Zone). The programme will run from 9:00 - 18:15 (Dubai GST), followed by a networking opportunity with the ATACH community from 18:15 - 19:15 (Dubai GST).
In the context of the preceding COP28 Health Day taking place on the 3rd of December 2023, the inaugural ATACH Day at COP28 will:
- Showcase examples of best practice from countries and partners in delivering the health commitments and inspire and motivate further action in building climate resilient and low carbon sustainable health systems;
- Launch tools and resources to support countries and partners in implementing the commitments;
- Discuss opportunities and challenges for implementation and consider the role of ATACH in advancing the COP28 Health Declaration and outcomes of the COP28 Health Day.
The high-level opening and closing sessions will provide an opportunity to reflect on the best ways to advance and integrate the ambition set on the 3rd of December within the vision for the ATACH. The day will be structured around five sessions - one for each of the ATACH working groups.
