About this webinar
A climate change and health vulnerability and adaptation assessment (V&A) assesses current and future vulnerability (the susceptibility of a population or region to harm) to the health risks of climate change, and of policies and programmes that could increase resilience, taking into account the multiple determinants of climate-sensitive health outcomes. The results of the V&A are used to ensure climate change and health policies, programmes and interventions are evidence-based and target groups experiencing specific climate-related health risks.
This webinar is the first in a series of technical webinars on conducting climate change and health vulnerability and adaptation assessments. This series aims to provide further training and technical discussion on specific aspects of conducting a climate change and health V&A, including through the sharing of practical experiences.
This webinar, Getting started: conducting climate change and health vulnerability & adaptation assessments, will provide an overview of the WHO methodology for conducting climate change and health V&As and share experiences on getting started on conducting a V&A. The session includes interactive, small-group activities and group discussion.
Two sessions are offered to accomodate for different time zones and languages. Please refer to the times and languages indicated above. Registration is mandatory to attend.
Agendas will be made available on this page soon.
