Three Horizons for Health – Building Sustainable, Resilient, and Carbon-Neutral Health Systems

05.03.2026

Rome, Italy

3 March 2026 is the last day to register (registration form here) for the event titled "Three Horizons for Health – Building Sustainable, Resilient, and Carbon-Neutral Health Systems," which will be held on March 5th at the Pocchiari Auditorium of the Italian National Institute of Health (ISS).

The event is organized by the ISS, the Romagna Local Health Authority (AUSL), and SOSTERETE, with the support of the World Health Organization (WHO).

The initiative follows the format and framework used for the WHO Health Pavilion workshop at COP30 in Belém last November, enhanced by a roundtable discussion with representatives from the Ministry of Health and local health authority (AUSL) leaders from various Italian regions.

The event aims to provide a forum for decision-makers, professionals, and stakeholders to discuss how health systems can embark on a path toward environmental sustainability, while keeping the health of individuals and communities at the center. Through experiences and concrete cases, the day aims to connect vision and implementation, highlighting both the opportunities and the main obstacles of the transition. The content and contributions emerging from the event will be collected in a summary document, with the aim of supporting further reflection and next steps.

If you would like to attend, please ensure you've completed the registration form available on the website and in the attached programme.
