The WHO Asia-Pacific Centre for Environment and Health in the Western Pacific Region is hosting the third webinar of the 2026 regional series on Climate-Resilient and Sustainable Health System Acceleration in the Western Pacific Region.

The third webinar, “Setting health system decarbonization targets”, will take place on 14 October 2026 at 9:30 AM(Manila time).

The webinar series has been developed in line with the objectives of the Alliance for Transformative Action on Climate and Health (ATACH), which supports countries in translating climate and health commitments into practical action. ATACH promotes collaboration, technical assistance, knowledge-sharing, monitoring and access to financing to strengthen climate-resilient and sustainable low-carbon health systems.

The objective of this session is to support Member States in setting credible, ambitious, measurable and context-appropriate health-sector decarbonization targets and translating them into practical implementation at national, health-system and health-care-facility levels, in line with WHO guidance on target setting for health sector decarbonization.

The session will also support regional peer learning and help identify areas where further technical support, capacity building and collaboration may be needed to accelerate implementation in diverse countries and facility contexts.

Participation will contribute to collective efforts to strengthen climate resilient and sustainable health systems across the Western Pacific Region.
