About this webinar

WHO published the Operational framework for building climate resilient health systems in 2014 and recently updated the guidance to integrate low carbon pathways for health systems. The Operational framework is a key tool for countries in planning and implementation for climate change and health. The framework’s goal is to support countries to increase the climate resilience of their health systems to protect and improve the health of communities in an unstable and changing climate, while optimizing the use of resources and implementing strategies to reduce GHG emissions. It aims to contribute to the design of transformative health systems that can provide safe and quality care in a changing climate.

This webinar will provide an overview of the WHO Operational Framework for building climate resilient and low carbon health systems. The session includes the sharing of country experiences using the Operational Framework and includes interactive, small-group activities and discussion.

This webinar is the third in a series of technical webinars on on various climate change and health topics with the aim of building capacity for implementation at country level.

Two sessions are offered to accomodate for different time zones and languages. Please refer to the times and languages indicated above. Registration is mandatory to attend.
